At the Innovate Africa Fund, we believe the best innovations start with the right questions. That’s why in collaboration with the Innovate Africa Foundation, we’re launching the Wicked Innovation Labs Ideathon—a call to identify Africa’s biggest, unsolved problems.
We’re asking investors, founders, researchers, innovators, ecosystem leaders, and problem-solvers across Africa to submit a well-defined problem statement before the deadline on the 31st of March, 2025.
We’re not looking for startup ideas. We’re looking for clear, well-defined problem statements that could potentially define and redefine industries, reshape economies, and change millions of lives.
But what really makes a wicked problem?
It’s complex (If it were easy, it would already be solved).
It’s urgent (It affects industries, economies, and lives).
It’s high-impact (Solving it would unlock massive opportunity).
